Notes from the Artist: Indigo Jung

Ayrton and I visited the “human is” exhibition at the Schinkel Pavillon in Berlin. It was really great. A stewardess said there was sure to be a rise in AI art over the next few years so we workshopped some prompts on Dalle2 for ‘lost in Kreuzberg’ artwork for months. We visited in September 2022 when we started the EP and I documented our trip - a large group of English boys got rejected quite a bit but we heard some amazing music at Renate, Club De Visionaire and Paloma. I’m aware those are mid-tier tourist spots but still the minimal and passive dance music sound it quite rare to hear in the UK, tech-house has really killed that sound in the UK.

The last track was a quote from a bouncer when the group was lined up for kit-kat in the most “Berlin cos-play” outfits we could manage to buy. The bouncer said “3 guys no girls? On a Saturday night? Impossible.” And told us to leave the queue. I thought I would make something that was detailed and elegant in sound design as a sort of ‘Whatever, I’ll show you’ to the scene.
